More planning required for a cruise since 9-11, read more...

Welcome,

Bottom line is cruises are vacation packages that float. With over 1,500 offers it is easy to find the package of your dreams. The major benefits are you only unpack once; you leave the driving to them then let the party begin. Here you can search by ship line, ship name, itinerary, departure port, or by bonus and special offers. If you should find you still need help, one of our professional vacation consultants is available for immediate assistance 24 / 7 to answer any question you may have, call 888-400-9166 and be sure to use offer code 9J7U-V8V for best price.

Because of the 9-11 attacks the U.S. has imposed mandatory passports, for now each provider is implementing the changes differently. However, December 31 2006 was the first of the deadlines. The full compliance date is January 1 2008. Passports now required for ALL out of country travel after that date (see link below). The FAQ section is helpful for answering your passport questions. You will not receive a refund for lack of proper paperwork on day of departure!

passport now required

With Passports now mandatory, their price may still continue to rise. Currently a passport costs about $100 and takes months to obtain. You are very fortunate, the vacation package guru has friends. Review the passport express service below and be sure too tell your friends.

The cruise lines itineraries differ for each ship; it’s the Major card they can play against each other. It is all about where you want to go, no matter if it is a luxury, Mediterranean, Panama or a Hawaiian, the Price is negligible. Most lines packages are within about $200 of each other for same class cabins (especially within Carnival's group of ships) it breaks down to services offered and demographics. For example, cruises longer than seven days often have a high elderly population which some may find disappointing if seeking a diverse population to party with. In addition, the Carnival lines 3 to 5 day are more popular to college students and families with children. The top lines based on sales volume (2005 statistics) are Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Norwegian, Cunard, and Holland America. They all visit the same areas and leave from the same ports, they move the ships around and some ships have a very loyal following.

All the lines offer discount cruises. Here is a useful tip - While reviewing all the options look for the "bonus offers” and "savings event" in the listings, It means the departure date is close and they are behind on their bookings for that trip. They have cut the price to try and fill all the rooms. Ask about a cabin class upgrade (for example balcony instead of ocean view) which may be possible for the same price. Play that card you will be glad you did. Click on the specials link and sort by price you may be surprised. Playing the walk aboard last minute game also will get you a good deal; you must be packed and ready to go including your passport. You may not get a room upgrade but sailing the room at a rock bottom price is better then empty.

Our world wide port listings make finding the perfect destination a breeze. A Holland America Alaska vacation is one of the most popular. Another favorite is Cozumel Mexico featured on TV in Carnival cruise to Mexico ads. One of the most popular ports for Gulf of México or Caribbean destinations is Galveston Texas; review our Galveston cruises through our port search link. As you will soon see finding your right package is a breeze.

Before or after your trip the travel tips link can help you save on air and room accommodations. They are provided in case you have to get a hotel. Airline schedules may not coincide with a ships sailing, which may necessitate a very early flight or flight the day before sailing or if for some reason you return late and connections are missed.
